DOCTOR


Ernest Quaye, MD, FAAP

Dr. Quaye received his medical degree from University of Ghana Medical School.  Dr. Quaye has been practicing in the Herndon area since 1989 and thoroughly enjoys watching his patients as they grow from newborn infants into healthy responsible adolescents and young adults. He feels especially honored when older patients return with their very own babies.

He served his Pediatric Residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center (Affiliate Hospital of Columbia University) in New York City.  Upon completion, he was invited to stay an additional year as Pediatric Chief Resident.  Later, Dr. Quaye served another year of Fellowship training in Ambulatory Pediatrics in the same institution. He is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Quaye is the proud father of two sons and two daughters as well as the doting grandfather of four grandchildren.

In his spare time, he enjoys reading, spending time with family, and watching sports.

Sylvia Trammell-Robertson, LPN, BS  (OFFICE MANAGER)

Sylvia was born and raised in Northern Virginia. She graduated from Loudoun County High School in Leesburg, VA in 1984 and later went on to study nursing at the Charles S. Monroe Technology Center in Leesburg Va.

She has worked in the Herndon area as pediatric nurse for 21 years and feels a strong compassion toward helping others.

Sylvia served six years as a Hospital Corpsman in the U.S. Navy. During her service time at Bethesda Naval Hospital, she worked in labor and delivery post-partum as well as pediatrics.

Later, she returned to school where she obtained her BS in Health Systems Management at the University of the Potomac.

She is the proud mother of one daughter and one son, and grandmother to one very special granddaughter, Skylar.  

Her hobbies include reading, music, sight-seeing, and coffee with friends.  More importantly, she enjoys attending church on Sundays.

 

Candice Barden, MA

Candice was born and raised in the Northern VA area and comes from a large family. She graduated from Potomac High School in 2002 and later attended Everett Community College where she obtained a degree in Medical Assistance.

She is the proud mother of four daughters and two sons, which explains why she was drawn to pediatric care.

Candice has been working in pediatrics since 2005, and she joined Parkway Pediatrics in 2009.

In her spare time, Candice enjoys reading, watching the Redskins win, and taking family vacations.

 

Katheryn Bautista, MA

Katheryn is originally from Honduras and is fluent in Spanish.  She moved here with her family in 2002.

She graduated from South Lakes High School and later attended Med Tech College, where she obtained a Medical Assistance degree.

After high school, she worked in a daycare setting with small children and knew that she wanted to continue her career in Pediatrics.

She joined Parkway Pediatrics in summer 2011 and plans to continue her education in pediatric nursing.

In her spare time, Katheryn enjoys serving and assisting with youth activities at church.
